Common Chaos Goes TRIBAL – Aussie Curves!

Welcome to yet another week of Aussie Curves.

The most crazy thing about joining in on this Blog Hop every Monday is that my weeks seem to be flying by at a speed greater than light. It feels like a week or two ago that I started this challenge and in reality this week’s TRIBAL theme brings us up to Week 7!!!!

Where did those last 7 weeks disappear to?

This week the challenge sees us going Tribal.

Tribal is not something I have a lot of in my wardrobe. In fact, I really have nothing tribal.

I had to hit the shops to find some basic tribal bits and pieces, but wanted to make sure I chose things that I knew I would wear again and again.

So here is my spin on it.

I don’t walk the catwalks and strut my stuff in obscure looking get-ups. Uh uh, that’s not me.

I am a mum, on a tight budget, that needs to wear something practical, easily washed and at this point in time, easy to feed the baby in.

So I went ratting through my wardrobe for a base to start with and here is what I came up with…

tribal one

* Burnt Orange and Black Maxi Dress – AUTOGRAPH {Last summer season}

* Strappy Sandals – Emerson – BIG W {Currently in stock)

* Black Knitted Cardigan – DIMMYS {Last Season}

* Tribal Spike Necklace – DIVA {Current Season – Now half price 15th Sept 2012}

* Animal Print Sunnies – SPOILS {Several seasons ago}

* Zebra Print Ring – BIG W {Current Season}

I am calling it the “super simple mum on the go” tribal look….. hehehe

I could comfortably strut this look up the main street in the small country town that we live in, so that’s definitely a win for me!

What do you think? Would you wear something like this?

** I am currently in the running for the Top 25 Aussie Mum Blogs through Circle of Moms. It would mean the world to me if you could stop by and give me a quick vote. Takes 2 seconds πŸ™‚ Thanks xox **

      The sandals are not too bad for $9.98. I'm not sure how long they would last if you wore them flat out but def a bargain at that price. They come in other colours too! :-)

    4. I love that you have turned the theme into something practical that you would wear in your everyday life!

    5. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!! The colours really suit you, and your va voom!!!

    8. Jacqui! You've got it down pat! The colours -perfect mix of tan and black - very tribal and the accessories - hey, simple is always the best and you nailed it! :)

    9. love the necklace! The look is great. I'm not a big tribal fan, but I think you've pulled it off while looking great.

    10. Hot! Hot! Hot! That's more stylish than what I've seen on the catwalks, Jac, and the best thing about it, as you said, is that it's totally comfortable and wearable! Just gorgeous, hot mamma! xxxxx

    11. Loving your mum-on-the go tribal chic look Jac! Love that you've adapted the challenge to suit your lifestyle.

    12. This outfit is great. Your β€œsuper simple mum on the go” look is very dressy looking. You've got great style. Loving the background scenery too, great rustic touch.

    13. I think this has been the best, BEST thing for me shopping my wardrobe. It also inspired me to sell off some stuff I don't wear any more and I'm in the process of cleaning out my wardrobe again. Anyway, off track. You look gorgeous, I really like what you've put together.
