My Weightloss Journey – 1st Weigh In!
I must be honest, I laid in bed last night with fear in my heart that I had tried so very hard all week to behave myself, eat properly, exercise, and that I would glance at those scales in the morning and they would tell me the worst.
I mean the last 5 years the scales have been telling me the worst. I almost just expect it these days.
So when my eyes opened this morning, the first thing that came to my mind (right after my morning wee….Hehehehe) was to jump on those scales and get it over with.
I lined them up on the bathroom floor, making sure I had them level and switched on. I gently stood upon them and slowly looked down as the digital numbers bounced all over the place……
Did I need my reading glasses on? Could this even be possible? Perhaps I will reset the scales and hop on again.
Yep. Same numbers again.

This past week I am excited to say I have lost a whopping 4.7kgs.
Now I know its the first week and the weight always drops off in the first week, but WOW I am happy 🙂 This number has inspired me to work hard this coming week as well. Yey!
So here’s what I did this past week.
* I cut out sugar from my coffee and started using equal tablets.
* I ate regular sized portions of home cooked meals.
* I ate frozen ‘Healthy Choice’ type meals for lunch / dinner when other food was too fatty.
* I went for 4 big walks.
This week I want to push myself to drink heaps more water and to walk 5 out of the 7 days.
I’m even considering purchasing a treadmill as the weather is so unpredictable here and it’s hard to walk with a mission when you have 6 kids tagging along….
