After my disappointing efforts last week on the scales, I was determined to make a difference this week.

I started off really well.

Then we went to Melbourne for a movie premiere.

Although we did a little bit of walking around the shops afterwards, we ate take-away food the whole time we were away.

In a desperate attempt to rectify the damage I had done, we set off on a huge walk around town. It felt so good to be walking around, out and about and in the warmth of the sun.

I had forgotten how much I really did miss that feeling since falling pregnant (being unwell) and having baby Eli.

The hardest thing for me with the exercise side of this health kick is finding the time to actually do it.

Sometimes I start to think that maybe I am doing too much of everything and I need to cut back on things, and other times I think about how I’d be sad to eliminate anything I have been doing lately so I guess I am just going to have to manage my time a whole lot better.

Every time I planned to go for my walk, some thing else would come up.

I need to make going for a walk a part of my daily routine. It needs to become a habit. That’s what I’ll be working on this week.

And my water consumption. I really don’t drink anywhere near enough, especially while I am still breastfeeding Elijah. I just struggle to drink massive amounts during the colder weather.

These pictures are the ones I used for Aussie Curves this week. They will be good to use as a comparison as I start to lose the weight!

So this morning I hopped on the Wii Fit Board to weigh myself. I wasn’t expecting big things because really, it wasn’t a fantastic week.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had actually lost 1.9kgs.

If I can lose 1.9kgs with minimal effort, imagine how well I could have done if i actually tried!!!

I’m really quite inspired now. I’m not sure how I will manage to escape the house today with sicky kids everywhere but the sun is out and I am going for a walk!
