The Daily Dirt – 05/04/11
I set 8 alarms last night to go off between 6 and 6.30am this morning. The alarms went off alright, as did my finger on the snooze button. Brian did exactly the same thing with his alarms.
I guess if anything it’s a good indication that the pair of us are feeling a little exhausted and need more sleep but knowing this at 6.35am when Brian has missed his ride to work really means nothing it at all.
So in a mad rush I threw my clothes on, rounded up the 5 half asleep kids, popped them in the car and drove Brian to work.
Not my ideal start to the day but I will admit that it was nice to be up early enough to be able to sit down and have some breakfast with the kids.
Once the school drop off was done I caught up with a friend over coffee. I had a fantastic morning comparing hilarious stories about our children and thoughts on what we might encounter during the teenage years. Always a giggle!! 🙂
My afternoon consisted of packing eBay parcels to send off to people. It seemed to take hours today. Perhaps the early morning chaos had caught up with me…
Before I knew it, it was time to pick up the kiddies and Brian, prepare tea and put the evening routine into full swing.
Unfortunately today we lost our little white Guinea pig. I’m not sure if it was last nights cold weather but I found him passed away this afternoon when I went outside to feed them. RIP little Sprite!!!
After tea we had a tickle session with Levi. He was in a crazy silly mood, tackling us for more tickles. He’s turning into such a little character lately. Full of cheekiness and charm. I can’t believe he will be 2 shortly…. OMG!!!
